Nailsea Festival of Music

There are many Music Festivals, or Eisteddfods, taking place in the area, but none in Nailsea or surrounds. In 2005 a group of four Nailsea residents decided to start such an event, to see if there was sufficient support for this to be run on an annual basis.

The first Festival was held on 16 November 2006 in Nailsea, mainly at the Methodist Church, but with some classes also held in Christ Church. Since then, we have moved to Nailsea School, and there has been a steady increase in entries. We now offer classes in singing, piano, speech and drama creative writing and music composition.

Our Twelfth Festival on 25 November 2017 in Nailsea School saw the biggest number of entries yet, and there were nine awards of 89 marks denoting excellent performances, and five of 90 which signified exceptional performances.  Please see our ‘Results’  page for more details.

The next Festival will be on 17th November 2018, and full details will appear here in due course.
